I'll show you how to recondition a standard 12v car battery. Stay tuned for other battery reconditioning guides that you can try out later. I will list them at the bottom of this page. The 12 V battery is the most common battery that people want to recondition, and for obvious reasons, your car is important and a new battery is expensive.
By renovating your car's battery, you can save a lot and even help the environment, essentially by recycling or restoring the battery.
Laptop battery start wearing off after about 1 to 2 years of usage. Many of these batteries suffer reduced backup and charging problems. I have an HP Pavilion laptop which I bought 1.5 years ago and the battery performance has considerably gone down with time. Sometimes I face battery charging related problems also which can be because of two reasons. In this post I will discuss both the reasons and share the solutions.Laptop Battery Not Charging Because Of Heating IssueFirst problem which is there with some of the HP laptops is the battery charging stops when the laptop heats up. This is a weird problem, but the HP service center guy told me that the battery sensor malfunctions if it gets too hot and the charging stops. With old laptops with heating issues, this problem is very common.
The work-around for this problem is to keep running on mains power or switch off the laptop for sometime to allow it to cool off.A better solution to this problem is to get the laptop services and remove the heating problem by getting the cooling ducts clean. Also there may be heat sink related problems which cause excessive heating. After the heating problem is resolved, the battery charging will become normal. Laptop Battery Not Charging Because Of Battery Device Driver IssuesThere are some default battery device drivers which are bundles in, these drivers try to control the battery charging properly, but for some laptops, these drivers may not function well. In such cases, users face problems like Laptop battery does not charge even when the battery is low and power adaptor is properly plugged into the laptop. In such cases, its better to download compatible battery drivers from manufacturer and install them instead of the default drivers.
via To un-install the default drivers, press Windows + R together to to open the RUN prompt. Type “ devmgmt.msc” and press enter.
This will open device manager. On Device Manager, browser to Batteries Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, right click on it and click “ Uninstall”. After this restart the laptop and the battery charging should start.Hope you find the method easy to follow. AnonymousI am having a similar problem. My battery was working fine on an ASUS EEE PC 1015PN since I got it about 4 months ago. One day, I didn’t have power and used up the entire battery.
When I finally got to an outlet, the computer turned on, but the battery won’t charge. It says, “0% available (plugged in, charging)” but it actually is not charging, and the little battery icon is empty with nothing moving up and filling it like normally happens when the battery is charging. When I try the uninstall in device manager trick listed above, the battery icon starts filling up, with white moving up and down within it as though it is filling up, but this happens only for about 5-7 seconds and then stops and goes back to empty and still says “0% available (plugged in, charging)” but actually is not charging.I also tried taking the battery out and putting it back in like other have suggested, but that too didn’t work.I also tried running a disk check on my Hard Drive, but that too didn’t work.Thoughts? Thanks so much.
AsifI have a toshiba satellite laptop and I’ve been using it for 2 years. The problem is that when i got the laptop new it used to support for 1 hour 30 min and now after 2 years it only supports for 30 min on battery. I am using windows 7. The second problem is that a message appears that reads- ” There is a problem with your battery, so your computer might shut down suddenly.”I can replace the battery but it will take a lot of time as it is very expensive so in the mean time can i still use the laptop with the charger plugged or will it harm the laptop? X box one gold. Need your help.
ErikHey there Guys and Gals,I have been having the worst time trying to figure out what the hell was going on with this. I have a Compaq CQ62 and was having issues with my AC Adaptor dropping off and not running or charging my battery. Here is what I needed to do to fix it. I found that I had unintentionally installed “AMD External Events Utility” You need to remove this but it is not easy.
You will find several things running that should not be in your Windows Task Monitor.atieclxx.exe and atiesrxx.exe as well as perhaps atibtmon.exe these are your problem. Here is the solution:Go to start menu and pull up Administrative tools run thisThen go to services and find AMD External Event Utility and select stopOnce you have done this go into the command prompt as administrator and do the followingsc delete “AMD External Events Utility” hit return and it should tell you that you are successful. If not then you did not enter the command prompt as the administrator.Bingo that is it.I hope that this is helpful. It took me about 5 months to find this solution. Shyam RajagopalanHi,I am not surprised to see so many people reporting the same issue.

Hp Windows 7 Charger
This seems a universal problem today either with hardware malfunction or with the OS. Even my laptop was only 3 days old when I suddenly faced this issue and my battery charger showed up with 0% when it was charged 100% and working all fine, and suddenly went off. My laptop runs fine when plugged in, especially when I remove the battery. I tried uninstalling the ACPI and seemed to work fine for a week but the problem has got back again. The service center installed the SP1 for Windows 7 on my Acer 5750 and assured me that the problem won’t recur, but they were wrong. After successful running for almost 10 days without the issue, it has come back again today and am not sure updating the BIOS will solve the issue. God only knows what the main problem is.
When it works fine, the battery runs beautifully for at least 2.5 hours for 80% and almost 3 hours for 90% battery life. Any suggestions?. Brian360I bought a Toshiba Satellite L305D a couple of years ago as sort of a backup computer which hardly gets used. It originally came with Vista and soon afterward Win7 came out and I did a clean install.
Things were working fine for a long while and one day I noticed that it wouldn’t run on battery but the AC is fine. I bought a new battery thinking that enough time had passed and the battery just died. When the new 9v came in, I went to charge it up and the battery meter wouldn’t go past 27% although the meter said “plugged in, charging”. I sent that battery back and ordered another one thinking it was a faulty.
When the next one came in, the meter was still locked at 27% (plugged in, charging).I’ve cleaned the metal contacts with an eraser, reseated the battery, tried your suggestion at the top of this page and yet the computer will operate with or without the AC plugged in at the present time but I notice the% decreases. When I pull the AC plug out, the AC plug silhouette will disappear and then will reappear when the plug is reinserted and the battery level will oscillate for about 10 seconds then quit. Before I take it to a repair guy to change out the charging adapter.i’d like to get a second opinion.TIA,Brian. DixieInteresting posts, but this issue concerns HP dv-4 2112br W7 Home Basic and a brand new battery recently purchased (original HP).
Toshiba Windows 7 Laptop Charger
Charged initially no problem over 2.25 hours, discharged over 3.5 hours (no load) – great I thought. However, next charge and discharge cycle was less than 2 hours and 2.5 hours respectively. Since then it has showed various different rates, inconsistent metering etc, generally seems to be nearly as bad as the battery it was replacing! Anyone any ideas? TahirI am using an HP 520.
The original battery stopped charging last week after 2 yrs of use so i bought a replacement battery. The problem i am now facing i that soon as i power on the laptop with the battery in, the LED light indicates that the battery is charging and it shows in the battery meter. But after about five minutes of charging, the LED light goes off and although the meter shows that the battery is still charging, the battery actually stops charging with the meter stuck at indicating a 5% or 10 percent charge.
The Mezari are a race of humans in the Endless Universe. In 3500 AD, a Mezari prison ship crash landed on the surface of Auriga, theorized to be a lost Endless research planet. The vessel was buried deep within the crust of the planet, but the survivors flourished, living underground in close. May 21, 2017 So we knew that in Endless Legend, Vaulters, Roving Clans and Ardent Mages are descendants of Mezari. Now in Endless Space 2, we have United Empire came from a fleet of Mezari. United Empire then has a quest that can lead you become Mezari again. All these leads me questioning, is vaulters still exist in Endless Space 2? Or they exist somewhere else, waiting to be released as DLC? The Mezari share all of their traits and units with the Vaulters. They were exclusive to owners of the Dungeon of the Endless Founder Pack, but they are now available for all players. Accustomed to a life in space, the Mezari must now adapt to terrestrial existence. Though they came here to settle, what happened above the planet caused a rude change in strategy. Then i remove the battery from its dock and replace it. The LED light goes on and the battery starts charging for another 5 minutes. This way i have to remove and replace the battery 10 times at least to charge it fully.
Sometimes however, if I leave the battery in for long, it starts charging by itself but that seldom happens. Once the battery charges fully it gives me a 2 hour backup. Can someone please help me with this?. TKJagannathanMy Toshiba Satelite 650 with windows 7 is hardly 15 months old.Already plugged in not charging appears. After a web search I tried the following. On Device Manager, browser to Batteries Microsoft ACPI-Compliant Control Method Battery, right click on it and click “Uninstall”.
